Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved a Dh750-million budget for the next phase of the Dubai Research, Development, and Innovation Program.
The initiative aims to position Dubai as a global leader in innovation and resilience by 2033, contributing Dh20 billion annually to GDP, creating 120,000 jobs, and supporting 600 startups.
Key goals include increasing private sector R&D spending to 50% of investments and boosting the innovation sector’s GDP contribution to 2.5%.
These initiatives reflect Dubai’s commitment to future-readiness, innovation, and sustainability, aligning with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision to establish Dubai as a global hub for excellence.
